Biography
Luke Saidi was born in Chitungwiza in 1979. His grandfather, Saidi Sabiti, was part of the first generation of sculptors in Zimbabwe. Luke learned the craft from him, and the two worked together for many years.
He began with small works made of Springstone, opal, and verdite, and over time developed his own abstract style. His works have been exhibited in Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, and South Africa.
